Information about the school day from 2nd September.

date posted: 31/08/2021

Dear families,

Just a little information about the school day from 2nd September. The following processes and procedures are in place.

  1. The school will continue to follow the government Covid guidance and look to keep all cases of Covid out of school.
  2. We will be very cautious with signs of Covid from the first day and expect parents to support us with this.
  3. We will consider the 3 Covid symptoms (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/main-symptoms/) and also consider cold symptoms (sore throat, blocked nose) with caution. Children with a blocked nose may be sent home until the symptoms improve.
  4. We will keep visitors in school to essential people only and parents will continue to drop off outside the school gates in the morning. Parents will pick up children outside the school gates after school. We will monitor how successful and safe the procedures are at the end of the day and keep you informed about this.
  5. Children will wash/sanitise their hands regularly throughout the day, but not in the playgrounds at the beginning of the day.
  6. We will avoid mixing classes inside the building, but classes will play outside with other classes in their key stage.
  7. Assemblies will take place in the large hall downstairs with adequate spacing between classes.
  8. Lunch will be eaten in the top hall in classes and we will meet  government requirements for cleaning.
  9. Communication with staff remains by email or over Seesaw.

Breakfast Club and Playcentre (after school club) will begin from Monday 6th September. It is very important that we know the numbers for these as soon as possible.

Please get in touch if you have any questions and see you all later this week.

Best wishes

Joe
