*PARENT MEETINGS*

date posted: 10/11/2021

Dear families,

*PARENT MEETINGS*

Next week, from Monday 15th November, the parent meetings will take place. This gives you the chance to discuss your child's progress and well-being with your teacher. From September until now, your new teacher has got to know your child and can speak with some confidence and knowledge at how they are in school and how they can get better. Please make an appointment with them on Seesaw to speak. We are holding the meetings on the phone again. We looked into Zoom meetings and we considered meeting in person, but decided against this. As cases remain high, we want to keep Covid out of the school and all staff and children in here every day.

I think some of you may hear that your child should read more at home and/or learn their times-tables. The times-tables can be practised anytime and this takes only a couple of minutes if you do this regularly. Reading is so, so important. If a child does not like reading as a free reader in Years 4, 5 and 6, then they have not found the right book. All children should listen to a story every day anyway. It's your job as the parent or carer.

*CLASS ASSEMBLIES*

The class assemblies are beginning again this term. These will be performed in front of the whole school and then recorded for parents to see. The video will be available on Seesaw. We begin this week with Magnolia Class. Next week, Aspen class will perform their assembly on Thursday, 18th November.

I hope you find the parent meeting useful.

Best wishes
