*SCHOOL LUNCHES*

date posted: 17/09/2021

Dear families,

The school has a wonderful feel about it at the moment. The children are getting used to the changes in their daily routines but are so calm and focused in class, and happy and smiling in the playground, it is lovely to walk around. Well done to them!

*SCHOOL LUNCHES*

Next week we will be sending a questionnaire to check whether you are having a school or packed lunch. Please reply to the questionnaire as we need to be sure of children eating a school lunch or not.

  • If your child is in Reception class or Years 1 and 2, all meals for all children are paid for by the government.
  • If your child is Nursery or Years 3-6, you need to pay for a school lunch, unless you qualify for a free school lunch.

Somebody has to pay for each school dinner, and if the government does not, and parents do not, then it comes out of the school budget. This money should be spent on other things. So please keep up with your payments, check with Carina or Jenny about money owed and make sure we know what your child is having for the term. Many thanks.

*SEESAW*
Homework will be set on Seesaw again this year. We all have to get used to using technology for learning and Seesaw is a gentle introduction to this. If you are having any issues with logging on or accessing the homework, please get in touch with us and we will help you sort it out.

*BLACK HISTORY MONTH*
For Black History Month, we are hoping to host author visits, book readings and signings, literacy workshops, dance workshops and drama workshops - it should be a wonderful month of celebrations and we are really looking forward to it!
We will also be holding a raffle throughout the month, and we are currently on the look out for prizes - do you have any unopened and unwanted gifts at home that you would be willing to donate? Or do you have any skills you could offer? Do you bake cakes or cook amazing food? One parent has kindly donated a voucher for their West African food!
Any support will help us to provide even more opportunities for your children during Black History Month and throughout the year.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Best wishes
