*SCHOOL VISITORS AND VISITS*
As we step slowly towards a new Covid normal, it is a good time to share how we are approaching visits etc. If the visitor is essential for the children's learning or well-being, we are accepting them in school. So this week, we have had:

Mike from QPRFC as usual working with the children on a range of sports and fitness

Our friends from the Royal College of Music, who work with the early years children
-
The author of 'Baller Boys', Venessa Taylor, as part of black history month working with Years 3-6
-
The specialist music tutor, Izy, who works across the school
-
A student from Imperial College who worked with Hazel class on how to stay fit and eat healthily
We are also taking part in sporting events with other schools if this takes place outside. So our football team, girls and boys, are taking part in the Mayor's Cup again. Year 6 children are also going to Wick Court farm for a week in November.
However, I am monitoring the situation in H&F, and we are not going out on visits and using public transport this term. This may change in the new year.
*RAFFLE- BUY A TICKET, THERE ARE WONDERFUL PRIZES!*
To fund our wonderful workshops and visitors during Black History Month, we will be holding a raffle, with ticket sales starting next week on Monday.
Tickets will be sold at the KS1 gate before school. They will be priced at £1 per ticket, £3 per strip of five tickets.
Prizes include vouchers for brunch, vouchers for children's meals at Bando Burgers, vouchers for holiday art workshops, tennis camp vouchers, a month of sessions at Little Gym in Westfield, beauty gift bags and much more. Please see the attached flyer for more information about some of the wonderful prizes up for grabs!

*RECEPTION CLASS OPEN DAYS*
These are taking place on Wednesday, October 20th; Thursday, November 18th and Tuesday, December 7th. This will begin at 8.30am in the hall with the headteacher's welcome and be followed by a short tour. Please see the flyer attached. All nursery parents are welcome and please share these dates with friends and family who are looking at local schools for September 2022.
