As the days get shorter and the season changes, Olive Class are now observing the signs of Autumn as part of their IPC and English learning. They have started the academic year listening to poems from Out and About by Shirley Hughes. The children have been noticing rhyming patterns, understanding new vocabulary and performing poems. In Maths, the children have been practising their counting to 100, finding one more and one less of a number and representing numbers in different way. The transition from Reception to Year 1 is a big jump and the children in Olive Class have been doing amazingly! They have been engaging well with their new learning and adapting to the routines of KS1. We can't wait to see how they develop on their Year 1 journey.
