As the days get shorter and the season changes, Olive Class are now observing the signs of Autumn as part of their IPC and English learning.  They have started the academic year listening to poems from Out and About by Shirley Hughes.  The children have been noticing rhyming patterns, understanding new vocabulary and performing poems.  In Maths, the children have been practising their counting to 100, finding one more and one less of a number and representing numbers in different way.  The transition from Reception to Year 1 is a big jump and the children in Olive Class have been doing amazingly!  They have been collaborating so well together and engaging with their new learning.  All the staff in Year 1 and KS1 are very impressed with how the children have adapted.
