The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) includes as a child's personal development as key to the primary school experience. These personal goals are:

• Empathetic

• Ethical

• Collaborator

• Respectful

• A thinker

• Resilient

• Communicator

• Adaptable

Each class has an IPC Values Book in which they add leaves when a member of the class has demonstrated one or more of these personal goals. These are proposed either by the teacher or, more often than not, by the other children in the class. These are the foundations for the ethos of respect that is the cornerstone of Old Oak.

The values can be seen all round the school and the children use them in a self evaluation of an activity or piece of work.  For more information about the personal goals, please contact the IPC Coordinator at the school.
