We have had a great start to the new school year and are settling in with plenty of smiling faces!  We are becoming familiar with the new routines of Reception and have really enjoyed exploring our new classroom and making ourselves at home!

During Maths we have been focusing on recognising numbers and counting. We are developing our motor skills through play, both inside and outside on the classroom. Soon we will begin the Twinkl Phonics programme, White Rose maths and the NCETM Mastery of Number sessions.

This term our topic is ‘All About Me’. We will be thinking about ourselves, our families, what is inside our bodies and how to look after it.
