Dear Pupils, Parents and Carers,
The Summer Term has finished.
Thank you for your support over this difficult lockdown time.
There were some lovely end of year picnics in the school this week in Key Stage 2. Thank you to those who atteneded.
It was so nice to hear the chatter of children in the playground again. Some of the year 6 children were able to meet and they received a lovely lockdown ruler momento that was organised by the PTA and a special book to read as a present from the school. It was a lovely end to the year.
Over the Summer, there are two dates for the successful Lockdown Library.
Friday, 24th July - Lockdown Library and Wild Reading event.
Friday 21st August - Lockdown Library and Wild Reading event
The Lockdown Library will take place between 11.00am and 3.00pm and The Wild Reading will take place between 10.00am-3.00pm. Come to the school with a book you are reading, or have read, and want to change at the Lockdown Library perhaps; then read aloud to a member of staff for 20 minutes in the playground and talk about books you like or ask for suggestions.
Reading is not only for term time! So please put the dates in your diary now for something to do over the holidays! We look forward to seeing you.
There are also some extra Summer Home Learning activities to keep your brains busy over the holidays before we all return to full schooling in the Autumn Term.
**Miss Morley's Summer Time Reading!**
